1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller for personal data processed directly by this website and by Limited Edition Audio in connection with VoxSplit Pro is Limited Edition Audio, a French SASU, 35 boulevard Saint-Michel, 91600 Savigny-sur-Orge, France (see our Legal Notice). Contact: support@limitededitionaudio.com.

Moonbase AS and, for US payments where applicable, its US subsidiary Moonbase LLC (together, “Moonbase”) act as separate, independent controllers for the embedded storefront, customer accounts, checkout, payment and tax processing. The Moonbase entity acting as seller is identified at checkout and on the receipt. See the Moonbase Privacy Policy and §3.4 below.

2. Core principle: local audio processing

VoxSplit Pro processes audio entirely on your machine. No audio file is transmitted to us or to any server. We do not collect, listen to, or store your audio content.

3. What we process, and why

3.1 Contact form

When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, subject and message. The form is handled by Netlify Forms (our hosting provider); the submission is stored in our Netlify account and may be included in a notification sent to our support email. Netlify states that form submissions are screened for spam using Akismet, operated by Automattic, as part of its form service.

  • Purposes: to answer your request, manage pre-contractual or support communications, and prevent spam and abuse.
  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding, or steps taken at your request prior to a contract.
  • Recipients: Limited Edition Audio; Netlify, Inc. (processor); and Netlify's anti-spam subprocessor where applicable.
  • Retention: submissions and corresponding support messages are deleted no later than 24 months after our last meaningful exchange, unless a longer period is required to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

3.2 Website hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify automatically processes technical request data — including your IP address, browser/user-agent and timestamps — to deliver and secure the site.

  • Purpose: delivery, security and abuse prevention.
  • Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Recipient: Netlify, Inc. (processor, United States — see §4).
  • Retention: for the limited periods determined by Netlify's service configuration and data-processing terms for delivery, security and incident investigation. We do not create a separate analytics copy of these logs.

3.3 Language preference

We store your chosen interface language in your browser's local storage (key voxsplit_lang). The stored key remains on your device. However, the selected language may also appear in the page URL and in the name of the language file requested from our host; it may therefore appear in Netlify's technical logs. We do not use this preference to identify or profile you.

3.4 Purchase, account and licence delivery

The embedded Moonbase storefront is used for the cart, sign-in, customer account and checkout. When it loads or is used, Moonbase may receive technical request data such as your IP address, browser/user-agent, referrer and timestamps. At checkout, Moonbase collects the data needed for the sale — typically name, email, billing address, country, IP address and payment information — as an independent controller. Limited Edition Audio never receives your full card details. After the sale, Moonbase provides us with the order and licence information made available through the merchant integration, such as name, email, order reference, product and licence status, so that we can deliver and support the licence. Moonbase may also send product updates or marketing communications where it considers that it has obtained the required consent; these are Moonbase's independent processing activities under its own privacy policy.

  • Purposes: operate the storefront and account, conclude the sale, collect payment and tax, deliver and support the licence, prevent fraud and, for Moonbase where valid consent has been obtained, send communications or marketing.
  • Legal basis for our processing: steps taken before a contract, performance of the licence agreement, compliance with legal obligations, and legitimate interests in operating and securing the storefront.
  • Recipients/controllers: Moonbase AS (Norway/EEA); Moonbase LLC for US payment processing where applicable; Limited Edition Audio for the merchant data described above.
  • Retention by Limited Edition Audio: licence-status information while the perpetual licence remains usable; support data as stated in §3.1; and order/accounting evidence for the applicable statutory accounting and limitation periods. Moonbase applies its own retention periods.

3.5 Licence activation (PACE / iLok)

Licences are managed with the iLok system provided by PACE Anti-Piracy, Inc. Creating or using an iLok account and activating or validating a licence may transmit account, licence and activation identifiers, information about the authorised location or device, IP address and technical events. PACE/iLok processes this information under its own iLok Privacy Policy and terms.

  • Purpose: licence activation and anti-piracy protection.
  • Legal basis: performance of the contract; our legitimate interest in protecting the software.
  • Recipient and separate controller for its iLok services: PACE Anti-Piracy, Inc. (United States — see §4).

3.6 Update checks and local logs

The software may contact our site to check for an available update. The request contains no audio content, but ordinary technical request data such as an IP address, software version and timestamp may appear in hosting logs. The software may also keep local troubleshooting logs that reach us only if you choose to send them to support.

  • Legal basis: legitimate interest (maintenance, security, requested support).

3.7 Cookies

Limited Edition Audio does not itself deploy an audience-measurement or advertising service on this site. We use local storage for the language preference described in §3.3. The Moonbase storefront may use cookies or local storage for the cart, sign-in, account, checkout, analytics or advertising, as described in its own policy. Moonbase may also use account, order or trial data for communications or marketing where it considers that it has obtained the required consent. These are Moonbase's independent processing activities. Limited Edition Audio will not use Moonbase account, order or trial data for its own electronic marketing unless you have separately consented.

3.8 Embedded videos

Some pages display a locally hosted preview for a video hosted by YouTube. No YouTube iframe or request is loaded before you choose to press Play. When you do, an embedded player from youtube-nocookie.com is loaded without leaving our site. Google/YouTube may then receive ordinary technical and playback data, such as your IP address, browser information, referring page and viewing activity, and may use cookies or similar technologies under its own privacy policy.

4. International transfers

Moonbase AS is established in Norway (EEA); Moonbase states that Moonbase LLC in the United States processes data needed for US payments. Netlify and PACE are established in the United States. Netlify states that it relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where applicable, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. PACE states that it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; iLok services are also governed by the separate iLok Privacy Policy. The policies linked in this document explain how to obtain further information about these safeguards.

5. Retention

We keep each category of data only for the periods or according to the criteria stated in §3, then delete or anonymise it where deletion is possible. Order and invoicing evidence is retained for the periods required by accounting, tax and limitation rules. A perpetual licence may require us to retain limited licence-status information for as long as the licence remains usable.

6. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure or restriction, object to processing based on legitimate interests, and receive data in a portable format where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Contact: support@limitededitionaudio.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL or your local supervisory authority. For data controlled by Moonbase or PACE/iLok, you may also exercise your rights directly with that provider.

7. Required information and automated decisions

Fields marked as required in the contact form are needed for us to reply. Information requested by Moonbase at checkout is required to conclude and perform the sale; without it, Moonbase may be unable to accept or fulfil the order. Limited Edition Audio does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you solely by automated means and does not sell your personal data.
